Satch is my heart dog.  We went looking for a male after losing our male Maks at 2 and, with the help of Lu Hart, found Randy and Sue Boggs.  Satch was the only male out of a litter of nine, I know he was meant to be mine.  He was our first show and field trial dog and he had to put up with a lot of mistakes on our part.  Luckily he forgave us!   

Satch finished his show championship at 21 months with back-to-back 5-point majors.  He has lovely reach and drive.  His field career has been tougher.  We made a lot of mistakes while breaking him but he was stone-cold broke for awhile.  He started doing well, earning some wins, in 2006 when he got attacked on the line and challenged on course.  He shut down completely and it has taken a long time for him to regain his confidence.  I can't say enough about how proud I am that he has come back and finished both his DC and AFC at the age of 9.
